5:30 AM Early Bird Marathon * Recommended for walkers * Full Marathon ONLY. Not eligible for awards *

7:30 AM Full Marathon & Half Marathon

8:00 AM Kids K

8:15 AM Surfin' Surfside 10K & 5K

*If you do not start at your assigned race time, you will be disqualified*

Race announcements, instructions and national anthem will start at 7:25am for the Full and Half Marathon . This takes place at the starting line, near Stahlman Park.  

Bring the beach to you! Participate anywhere at anytime!

Download and print your bib on RunSignUp. Run and complete your event (marathon, half or 5K) on your own. Submit your results online and download your finisher's certificate! 

Participants for all events will receive finisher medals

All participants can enjoy post race food and drinks (beer for 21+) after finishing. You can purchase non-participating family and friends meal tickets during the registration process, at packet pickup or on race day with cash or check.

Adult Meal Tickets (21+ Beer included): $15

Stahlman Park Pavilion is Located at 2211 Bluewater Highway, Surfside Beach, TX 77541

From Houston:

Go South about 50 miles on Highway 288 towards Lake Jackson/Clute. Exit onto Highway 332 East toward Surfside. Go about 8 miles and over a large bridge to arrive almost at the water's edge. Turn left at light onto Blue Water Highway and Stahlman Park Pavilion is about 2 miles down on your right.

From Galveston:

Head west on Galveston's Seawall Dr/FM3005. At very west end of Galveston, you will arrive at the San Luis Toll Bridge ($2 each way). Take the toll bridge and Stahlman Park Pavilion is about 11 miles down on your left.

From Clear Lake:

Take Interstate 45 to Highway 2004 Exit. Go Southwest (just passed the dog track) and continue to Highway 523. Turn left on Highway 523 and then left onto Highway 332. You will go over a large bridge to arrive almost at the water's edge. Turn left at light onto Blue Water Highway and Stahlman Park Pavilion is about 2 miles down on your right.

You will park on the beach a small walk from the Start/Finish Line. Please park single file, perpendicular to the dunes.

Beach Traffic is ONE WAY. 

Option 1:

• From Lake Jackson - Turn left onto Blue Water Highway and continue for about 1.3 miles. Turn right on Beach Access Road YUCCA Dr and then left onto the beach.
• From Galveston - Keep straight after San Luis Pass and Continue straight for about 12 miles, passing Stahlman Park Pavilion. Turn left on Beach Access Road YUCCA Dr and then left onto the beach. 

Option 2 (recommended for smaller vehicles):

• From Lake Jackson - Turn left onto Blue Water Highway and continue for about 2.5 miles, passing Stahlman Park Pavilion. Turn right on Beach Access Road BAY St. and then left onto the beach. Do not park west of Bay St Access Road.
• From Galveston - Keep straight after San Luis Pass and Continue straight for about 10 miles, passing Stahlman Park Pavilion. Turn left on Beach Access Road BAY St. and then left onto the beach. Do not park west of Bay St Access Road.

• Where is the 2024 event taking place?

We do not have access to Stahlman Park Pavilion. The event will be held on the beach in front of Stahlman Park. You can access the event and park on the beach via Bay Ave or Yucca Ave. 

DO NOT PARK AT STAHLMAN PARK PAVILION - YOU WILL NOT HAVE BEACH ACCESS

• What is the time cut off?

We encourage walkers at our event, therefore there is no formal cut off time. However, if you plan to walk the entire marathon or your time is over 6:30, please take advantage of the Early Bird 5:30am start.

• Can I pick up a friend's packet?

Yes, you can pick up packets for others as long as you are able to confirm their race and personal information.

• Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are not allowed inside Stahlman Park Pavilion but are allowed in all outside areas and to run with owners. Please clean up after animals.

• Are strollers allowed?

Strollers are allowed, please be aware that some areas of sand are looser than others. 

• Can I start at 5:30am if I want to walk the Half Marathon?

No, 5:30am start is for the FULL Marathon only. Half Marathoners start at 7:30am.

• What is the course like?

• Can I switch event distances?
